Summer blows in a chance friend, understanding me, just as I am. Just off-kilter enough, that I can say anything.
At first they seem bright, and I'm more the pragmatic type, but near the end, after holding it in, their fears – desires – worries, all that gush out from within.
They felt ashamed, not sharing enough with me, who opened myself up, my entire book so tenderly.
Release, sweet release. Acceptance, understanding. Compassion is the start, yet there's so much more to explore.
━ But too much anger flows, they know they must be alone. A final ending day, empty, then they've flown.
Blown away my dear friend, with a melancholic end. What was this summer, I must ponder, again and again.

I hope your path forward leads to brighter days, and ease that never fades.
